A utility bassist / keyboard guy / guitar guy, transcriber, arranger, sometimes teacher & programmer Dave Curtis traded one west coast for another leaving Southern California for Spiddal. From 1989 and 1995 Dave played bass on jingle sessions for Winter Moon Music playing on jingles while staying busy on the low end in town. Between 1991 & 2005 Dave recorded, toured and performed on four albums with AJ Croce; performing on dozens of television, radio shows and festivals throughout the US, Europe, Canada, Mexico & Australia supporting The Neville Brothers, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, BB King, Robben Ford, Dr. John, Arlo Guthrie and Willie Nelson.  During this time Dave started to develop skills on keyboards and background vocals while working with Billy Thompson.  He has worked on projects with Sean & Sara WatkinsDean Brown,  Jim Gaines,  John Simon,  T Bone Burnett, Wayne Johnson & Mike Garson. He’s also shared brief but quality time on stage with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Steven Seagal, James Burton, Elvin Bishop, Arlo Guthrie, Lee Roy Parnell, The Tonight Show Band, Art Neville, TG Sheppard & Bobby Bare. Dave spent 2010 and 2011 in Nashville playing a bit and volunteering with The Nashville Jazz Workshop. Since August ’14 he’s been living with his wife and 2 kids in Spiddal Co. Galway, Ireland.  He has contributed content for Bravo, A&E and TLC. He’s also pretty crack at remembering music once he learns it.
